Ingredients: Phenylpropanol, o-Cymen-5-ol, Decylene Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Cinnamal
Odour Guard is a multi-functional blend of gentle, biodegradable actives designed to reduce odour formation on the skin designed to replace Triclosan in cosmetic formulations.
Odour Guard can be used as a key functional active in your deodorant, intimate hygiene and comfort, oral care, hand cleansers and general skin and scalp cleansing formulations for both rinse-off and leave-on applications.
In addition to its antimicrobial action, Odour Guard also acts as a powerful antioxidant. When its antioxidant capacity was measured against a standardised vitamin E solution it was found to perform better across the concentrations tested.
Recommended Use Level: 0.005% as an antioxidant is adequate. 0.5% as an antimicrobial active. When a soap bar was tested with and without 0.5% Odour Guard, the bar with the Odour Guard reduced the skin microbial burden by 4 times more than soap alone. for both E Coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Solubility: Glycols, alcohol, avocado oil, cosmetic esters.
pH range of efficacy: 3-10
Heat Stability: Average, generally added during cool down but can tolerate some time in the hot phase.
