Features: Buriti is the most popular name for this tree in Brazil, where it is also known as aguaje in Peru, kikyura in Bolivia and moriche in Colombia and Venezuela. Buriti Virgin Oil is extracted from the fruit of the Amazonian Buriti tree and is renowned for its vibrant orange-red hue and high beta-carotene content (a provitamin compound used by your body to make Vitamin A) which gives its colour. It contains five times more beta-carotene than carrots at around 30g per 100g of pulp. Its moisturising properties offers natural protection and promotes skin elasticity. Additionally, it is used in hair care where it can help enhance shine and nourishment.
Properties/Benefits: Buriti oil’s beta-carotene content provides effective antioxidant capabilities, promoting skin protection and can help to support anti-aging effects. Fatty acids present in its composition, including oleic acid and linoleic acid, can provide moisturisation and support skin health.
