Product Description

Ingredients: Decyl Glucoside, Water

Country of Manufacture: France

Origin: Glycosylation of Dextrose and C10 Fatty Alcohol

Features: Sugar-Based Decyl Glucoside is a naturally derived, low-pH, non-ionic surfactant and solubiliser that gently cleanses while effectively incorporating essential oils, fragrances, and other oil-soluble ingredients into clear water-based formulations. Easy to thicken and highly versatile, it delivers excellent cleansing and emulsifying performance for a wide range of skincare, haircare, and personal care applications. Unlike conventional decyl glucosides supplied at a highly alkaline pH, our low-pH grade is closer to the skin's natural pH, requiring less pH adjustment during formulation. This simplifies product development, enhances compatibility with pH-sensitive ingredients, and makes it an ideal choice for creating mild, skin-friendly formulations.

Benefits:

  • Naturally derived and biodegradable for more environmentally conscious formulations.
  • Effectively solubilises essential oils and fragrances.
  • Produces clear, stable formulations with excellent compatibility across a wide range of ingredients.
  • Ideal alternative to sulphate-based surfactants.
  • Easy to thicken with other non-ionic surfactants and natural or synthetic polymers.
  • Greater foaming power compared to Sodium Laureth Sulfate.

Specifications:

  • Appearance: Cloudy white solid to clear light-yellow viscous liquid at 40ºC
  • pH: 3.5 – 5.5
  • Solid content: 53.0% – 57.0%

Formulation Tips:

  • Highly compatible with actives (including cationic) and other surfactants.
  • Stable over a wide pH range.

Note: Due to its natural properties, Decyl Glucoside may change in appearance depending on the storage temperature. In cooler conditions it can become cloudy, grainy, or solidify, while in warmer temperatures it returns to a pourable liquid. This is a normal physical change and does not affect product quality or performance. Before use, gently warm and mix thoroughly to ensure the product is fully homogeneous, as separation may result in variations in active surfactant concentration throughout the container

Suggested Storage: Store in a cool place below 30°C, away from direct light, in air-tight container

GMO-Free, Nanoparticles-Free, Not Tested on Animals, Non-Irradiated.
