Did you know? The Castor Oil Plant produces both male and female flowers on the same plant, arranged in upright clusters that can grow up to 15cm long. These flower clusters are found either at the tips of branches (terminal) or where the leaf stems meet the main branch (axillary). Female flowers are positioned at the top of the cluster, while male flowers are located at the bottom. Neither type of flower has petals. Male flowers feature numerous creamy-white stamens, while female flowers are distinguished by their three forked red styles.
