Extraction method:Cold expression of crude oil which then undergoes molecular distillation to produce Bergamot Bergaptene Free Oil.
Common uses:Bergamot essential oil has an uplifting aroma which has been known to uplift the mood. In skin care it can be used for oily skin types.
Bergaptene-Free:Bergaptene is a compound typically found in Bergamot oil which increases photosensitivity (sun/light sensitivity) of the skin. This oil has had Bergapatene fraction removed to reduce the photosensitivity issues of Bergamot oil. This does not completely remove the issue, and photosensitivity issues still need to be taken into account when formulating with this oil.
