Hair Shine Rinse Recipe

 

Application:

  • After washing the hair, rinse it thoroughly with aromatic water and dry it with a towel. The hair will then have a pleasant scent

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 ping boiled water or spring water
  • 25 drops rosemary/rosewood (for dark hair) or Roman chamomile (for light hair)
  • Yield: about 2 pints

Instructions:

  • Mix ingredients well in a spray-top bottle. The recipe features a strong concentration of apple cider vinegar.
  • Massage well into the hair residue, activates and stimulates the scalp, and is suitable for oily hair, dandruff, and itching of the scalp.
  • If the itching is very intense, use peppermint.

Jojoba Skin Protection Cream Recipe

 

Application:

  • Providing a protective and moisture-regulating film, the best time to apply is before you go to bed

Ingredients:

  • 60 gram jojoba oil
  • 15 gram beeswax
  • 1-2 tsp. Honey
  • 20 carrot seed

Instructions:

  • Heat the beeswax and jojoba oil until it becomes a clear mass.
  • Pour into a bowl and mix well until it has cooled to skin temperature.
  • Add the carrot seed oil and honey, stir again.
  • Fill into a container.
  • The mass becomes creamy after a short time.

Hand Washing Gel Recipe

 

Application:

  • This hand-washing gel is disinfectant, cleansing, and beneficial to the skin.

Ingredients:

  • 280 gram boiled water
  • 112 gram witch hazel solution
  • 112 gram glycerine soap or vegetable soap
  • 2-3 tbsp. Pectin
  • 2 tbsp. Honey
  • 2 gram borax(optional)
  • 10 drops lavender
  • 10 drops Roman chamomile
  • Yield: about 420 gram

Instructions:

  • Heat water and witch hazel, sprinkle in the borax and stir
  • Add the soap and allow to melt.
  • Heat about 2-3 cups of water separately beforehand, sprinkle pectin slowly into it
  • Stir until it has completely dissolved.
  • Add the pectin to the soap solution, stir and let cool.
  • When the mixture has reached skin temperature, add the honey and essential oils and stir again.
  • For convenience, fill it into a bottle with a pump top.
  • After a few hours, the mixture will have jelled and is ready for use.
  • If the gel has become too thick, it can be diluted with water.
  • If it has become too thin, dissolve a little more pectin in warm water and add it, using as much pectin as is necessary to make the gel thicker.
  • For particularly brittle, chapped hands and injured skin, use myrrh instead of lavender.

Flower Water Facial Lotion Recipe

 

Application:

  • A mild and wonderfully fragrant facial lotion for every skin type

Ingredients:

  • 118 gram orange blossom water
  • 2 tsp. Honey
  • 2 drops bergamot oil
  • Yield: about 4 oz.

Instructions:

  • Heat the flower water, dissolve the honey in it, fill it into a bottle.
  • Add the essential oil, and shake the contents well.
  • This recipe can be combined with lavender water, rose water, orange blossom water, and the essential oil fragrances that best suit your type.
  • Lavender water harmonizes with lemon, orange, clary sage, and rosemary; rose water harmonizes with bergamot, geranium, jasmine, patchouli, rosewood, and sandalwood; orange blossom water harmonizes with bergamot, geranium, lavender, neroli, clary sage, and petitgrain.

Facial Lotion and Body Lotion Recipe

 

Application:

  • This basic recipe for four ounces of facial lotion can be individualized by adding essential oils; a body lotion can be made simply by increasing the recipe volume.

Ingredients:

  • 40 gram avocado or jojoba oil
  • 30 gram rosewater or another flower water
  • 30 gram lanolin
  • 20-30 drops essential oils
  • Yield: about 112 gram

Instructions:

  • Heat lanolin in a double boiler until a thin liquid is obtained.
  • Add the vegetable oil and stir slowly over medium heat.
  • At the same time, heat rosewater to the same temperature.
  • Then slowly add the rosewater to the other mixture while under rapid continual stirring.
  • Before it cools completely, add the essential oils and mix again briefly.
  • Pour into a bottle and store in a cool place.
  • Choose essential oils that correspond to your skin type.

Face Cleansing Oil Recipe

 

Application:

  • Good to use for gentle cleansing of the facial skin

Ingredients:

  • 56 gram almond oil or jojoba oil
  • 15-20 drops of essential oil, alone or in combination: peppermint, basil, juniper, lemon, and tea tree for blemished skin

Instructions:

  • Put all ingredients in an amber-colored bottle and shake well.
  • Put some of the oil on the face and remove with a cotton ball.

Winter Woes Chest Rub Recipe

 

Application:

  • Gently rub into the chest area when run down with a cold, cough or congestion.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g Natural Body Butter
  • 4 drops Eucalyptus Blue Gum Essential Oil
  • 3 drops Camphor Essential Oil
  • 1 drop Thyme Essential Oil

Instructions:

  • Place the Natural Body Butter into a saucepan and gently melt using the double boiler method.
  • Once melted allow the Body Butter to cool until soft, not solidified.
  • While the Body Butter is still soft add the Essential Oils.
  • Stir until the oils are well blended into the Body Butter.

Caution:

  • Do not use around or in the eye area.

Face Toner Recipe

 

Application:

  • Apply to face after cleansing or as a freshener throughout the day.

Ingredients:

  • Witch hazel liquid (not floral water) 100ml
  • Strawberry fruit extract 5 drops
  • Prune fruit Extract 5 drops
  • Raspberry fruit extract 5 drops
  • Vitamin 5 drops
  • Green Tea extract 5 drops
  • Marine collagen 5 drops
  • Solubiliser 15 drops
  • Certified Organic lavender essential oil 10 drops
  • Filtered or Distilled Water 100ml (can be substituted for herbal infusion)

Instructions:

  • Everything can be blended together and shaken well.
  • I recommend testing to see if formula has mixed by pouring a little into a clear glass
  • More solubiliser may need to be added if not mixed properly
  • Cleanse skin using quality facial cleanser and rinse off with water
  • Apply facial toner by spraying directly into the face or by wipe over using cotton wool
  • Complete skincare regime by gently spreading facial moisturizer over face and eye cream over eye area.

Caution:

  • Too much with hazel may be drying for sensitive skin types. Toner may be diluted with more water or a herbal infusion (Chamomile may be good for sensitive skin)
  • Lavender essential oil may be substituted for an alternative. Certain essential oils leave skin more photosensitive. Please check for contra-indications prior to use.

Herbal Footbath Recipe

 

Application:

  • To relax the feet, detoxify and induce drowsiness before retiring to sleep.

Ingredients:

  • 3 litres Hot Water
  • 1 cup Rock Crystal Salt
  • 1 cup Dead Sea Mineral Salt
  • 5 drops Juniperberry Himalayan Essential Oil
  • 5 drops Grapefruit White Essential Oil
  • 5 drops Orange Bitter Essential Oil

Instructions:

  • Heat water to a comfortable temperature and put into your foot bath.
  • Add salts and oils to the bath and stir.
  • Place feet into the foot bath and soak for approximately 20 minutes.

Caution:

  • Do not use boiling water as this will scald and burn the skin.

Crows Feet Rub Recipe

 

Application:

  • Moisturises, refines and repairs sensitive skin around the eyes.

Ingredients:

  • 76 ml Apricot Kernel Oil
  • 10ml Organic Blackcurrant Oil
  • 10 ml Organic Evening Primrose Oil
  • 2 ml Calendula Infusion (in Olive Oil)
  • 1 ml Grape Red Liquid Fruit Extract
  • 1 ml Green Tea Liquid Extract

Instructions:

  • Measure ingredients and pour directly into a 100ml glass storage bottle that has a tight sealing cap.
  • Shake the mixture well until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Shake well before each application as contents may settle.

Caution:

  • Do not use too close to the eyes.
