Not a fan of chemistry, but would like to understand how to create a cosmetic formulation from scratch?
Hate chemistry? Let us show you just how much fun it can be as we teach you how a cosmetic product really works! This two day course guides you through the process of developing safe, effective and marketable cosmetic formulations.
We have crafted this course to concentrate on one of the key aspects of the cosmetic formula - surface activity and more specifically the difference between a surfactant and emulsifier and a solubiliser, forming an emulsion and applying that knowledge to all-natural framework formulations ready for refining and scale-up.
This course is aimed at clients who are ready to look closer, go further and push themselves into a professional skin care realm.
While the example formulations used during this two day course will be focused on skin care the chemical theory and ingredient information can be applied to hair care, colour cosmetic formulating, professional treatment products and even pet care formulations.
This workshop is offered as a live and interactive study-at-home workshop on Saturdays 10:00am-4:00pm. It is recommended the course be completed in the order outlined and after attending our Cosmetic Chemistry Stage 1 Workshop.
