Lavender and Neroli Cream Recipe

 

Application:

  • This blend is suitable for all skin types

Ingredients:

  • 10 g Emulsifying wax - Vegetable
  • 70ml Organic floral water or distilled water
  • 20 ml jojoba oil
  • 6 drops neroli essential oil
  • 10 ml wheatgerm oil
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil

Instructions:

  • Gently heat Lavender Floral Water in a non-aluminium saucepan. Monitor the temperature and do not allow to boil. Bring to 70°C.
  • In a separate saucepan use the double boiler method to melt the Emulsifying wax.
  • Once the Emulsifying wax is melted, add the jojoba oil, stirring continuously until combined. Bring to 70°C.
  • Monitor the temperature of the oil and water mixtures until both are equal.
  • While still in the double boiler, add the Lavender Water or distilled water to the oil mixture drop by drop and beat steadily.
  • Remove mixture from heat and stir until cool, approx. 40°C.
  • Add the Essential Oils and Wheatgerm oil to the cooled mixture at 40°C and stir until combined.
  • Place cream into sterilized jars and seal. Store away from extremes in temperature and light.

Caution:

  • Use lavender oil cautiously during pregnancy.
  • Lotion should not be applied to broken skin
