Nettle Root Liquid Extract (Glycerine Based) is a versatile botanical ingredient suitable for a wide range of skincare, scalp care and hair care formulations. Derived from Urtica dioica root, this water-soluble extract is commonly incorporated into products formulated to support healthy-looking skin, scalp and hair.
Also known as “stinging nettle”, the plant has been traditionally recognised for centuries due to the fine hollow hairs found on its leaves, which create a stinging sensation upon contact. Nettle Root (Urtica dioica) has a long history of traditional botanical use and is valued in modern cosmetic formulations for its naturally occurring vitamins, minerals and botanical compounds.
This glycerine-based extract is ideal for formulators seeking a gentle, water-soluble botanical ingredient suitable for facial care, body care, scalp care and hair care applications.
Directions of Use:
Add to the water phase and cool-down phase of formulations during processing. Not soluble in oil but can be used in an emulsion. Suitable for use in serums, toners, creams, lotions, shampoos, conditioners, scalp treatments, masks and other water-based skincare and hair care products. Recommended usage rate: 0.5–5%. Shake well before use.

Note: Glycerine based extracts are sold in grams/kilograms and not millilitres/Litres. Glycerine extracts have a specific gravity greater than 1.00g/mL, this means that they are more dense or heavier than water and 1g/1kg will not equal 1mL/1L.
Storage: Store below 30°C in tightly closed containers, away from direct sunlight to preserve its potency and aroma.
