White Willow Bark Liquid Extract (Glycerine Based) is a versatile botanical ingredient suitable for a wide range of skincare and personal care formulations. Derived from Salix alba bark, this water-soluble extract is commonly used in products formulated for oily, combination and blemish-prone skin. Rich in salicin, a naturally occurring compound that is converted to salicylic acid derivatives.
White Willow Bark has a long history of traditional botanical use dating back to around 500 BC, including use by ancient Chinese and Greek herbal practitioners. Over time, White Willow Bark became increasingly valued in Western herbal traditions and remains a popular ingredient in modern skincare formulations today.
This glycerine-based extract is ideal for formulators seeking a gentle, water-soluble botanical ingredient suitable for facial care, body care and hair care applications.
Directions of Use:
Add to the water phase and cool-down phase of formulations during processing. Not soluble in oil but can be used in an emulsion. Suitable for use in serums, toners, cleansers, masks, creams, lotions, scalp care and hair care products. Recommended usage rate: 0.5–5%. Shake well before use.

Note: Glycerine based extracts are sold in grams/kilograms and not millilitres/Litres. Glycerine extracts have a specific gravity greater than 1.00g/mL, this means that they are more dense or heavier than water and 1g/1kg will not equal 1mL/1L.
Storage: Store below 30°C in tightly closed containers, away from direct sunlight to preserve its potency and aroma.
