Bilberry is a variety of Blueberry mainly used for its therapeutic benefits. It is a perennial shrub native to Northern Europe, North America and Canada. Active wise Bilberry contains a rich diversity of anthocyanins which as well as being responsible for the berry colour, also give the fruit its antixidant qualities.
Key Activities: Antioxidant, Anti-inflammatory.
Typical use levels: Antioxidant based extracts are typically used in a product to give an activity level of between 0.01-1%.
