Beeswax is prized in cosmetic chemistry for the flexibility of its waxy films, something that is impossible to find in individual plant waxes which tend to be brittle and stiff. This gap in flexibility can be filled by blending together a combination of different plant-based ingredients and creating a new, more complex beeswax analogue like this.
Our vegan friendly beeswax alternative is a natural blend comprising of Sunflower and Berry wax blended with the unsaponified fraction of Olive oil and Shorea Robusta resin. Together these ingredients produce a flexible, vegetable-derived wax with similar melting point, flexibility and film forming capabilities to beeswax but without the bees!
