Water soluble. Add to water based products after cooling. Not soluble in oil but can be used in an emulsion.
Passionflower has been traditionally used as a calming herb and is useful for sleepy time products such as night creams and balms. Passionflower has a milder action than Valerian but is sometimes combined with that and Lemon Balm to help calm and soothe people in stressful situations.
The herb has been contra-indicated for pregnant women and as such it may be best to avoid it in skincare targeting pregnancy. This is partly because of the herbs ability to thin the blood.
Use: 1-10%
