Product Description
Ingredients: Paraffin Wax
Specification: Hard, white, and crystalline, Paraffin waxes are refined from petroleum through the use of solvents. Widely used in packaging such as cereal wraps, food coatings, containers and candles, Paraffin wax provides anti-blocking, water resistance, and an even moisture vapour resistance.
Origin: Petrochemical.
Melting Point: 60-62C
Applications: This highly purified cosmetic paraffin wax is most commonly used as a structure agent in water-resistant creams and balms that have a protective action on the skin. The paraffin wax can be blended in with other butters and oils to create a range of textures. Paraffin wax is also a component of hand softening treatments and a wax blend is sometimes used around the hairline when dying the hair to prevent staining. Further to that the wax, being highly oxidatively stable is also used as a base for solid perfumes and other aromatic products.
Use Levels: 0.1-100% depending on the application.
