Referred to as a vitamin like anti-oxidant and is naturally found in nearly every living cell in the human body - the exceptions being red blood cells and the lens of the eye.
It is used by the mitochondria cell organelles to help produce internal energy for the body. However, as we age the natural production of CoQ10 reduces quite dramatically.
This may be one of the reasons why children have so much energy (and such radiant skin!) compared to their adult peers.

Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Vitamin C Liquid Form
Vitamins C especially in its Ascorbic acid form, is so easily oxidized and discolored that it is difficult to use in cosmetics. However Vitamin C Liquid is perfect as a cosmetic ingredient. Therefore more stable derivatives have been developed.
Water-soluble vitamin C derivatives such as magnesium ascorbyl phosphate are commonly used.
Vitamin C has many functions including skin lightening, promoting collagen synthesis and inhibiting lipid peroxidation.

RECIPE
Gentle Goat's Milk Soap
(makes approx. 3 x muffin-sized bars)
Smooth and soothe your skin as you wash with this beautifully nurturing, creamy Goat's Milk Soap. Combining uplifting Bergamot - Bergaptene Free with Jojoba Oil Water Dispersible, and gentle Almond Meal Exfoliant in a Goat's Milk Melt and Pour Soap base.

Equipment:
- Microwave-safe measuring jug
- Tablespoon Measuring Spoon
- Mixing Rod
- Soap Mould (muffin tin size)
- Knife
Instructions:
- Measure out Phase A - in order - and mix well between each material.
- Cut the Melt and Pour into smaller pieces with the knife and place into the jug.
- Microwave on high in short bursts of 30-45 seconds until melted (each microwave varies). Be careful not to over-cook.
- Add Phase A to the jug and slowly mix in - to avoid bubbles, do not stir too vigorously.
- Quickly pour into mould - do not allow the hot mix to stand before pouring. Stir jug between pours to ensure even distribution of almond meal for each soap.
- Remove your soap from the mould & enjoy!
HINTS: lightly spraying your mould with cooking oil beforehand will enable easier removal of your soap bars. The cooler your soap, the harder it becomes.
Directions for use:
- Use the smooth Goat's Milk side to wash with, and the Almond Meal side to slough rough skin from the body.
- Cleanses & deodorises without excessive foaming - the creamy lather nourishes the skin without stripping it.
Storage:
- For domestic use.
- Keep away from moisture until ready to use.
