Shimmer Finish Deodorant Paste Recipe

 

Application:

  • Shimmer Finish Deodorant Paste

Instructions:

  1. Weigh out ingredients of phase 1 and heat until melted together.
  2. Pre-mix ingredients in phase 2 and dry-blend together in a coffee grinder or equivalent if you have one. This isn't essential but will make the paste smoother
  3. Gently pour ingredients of phase 2 into phase 1 which is now removed from the heat
  4. Use an overhead mixer to mix together while cooling, stopping mixing at around 50°C.
  5. Add ingredients of phase 3 while stirring then pack into your container.

Phase 1 Avocado Oil 8 Avocado oil contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, D, E, and beta carotene. It is a monosaturated oil making it nourishing and suitable for dehydrated, sun exposed and dry skin. It is known to have regenerative and rejuvenating properties; it significantly increases the amount of collagen in the skin and is especially useful for mature skin. It has been known to be effective in helping reduce the itchiness and discomfort associated with some skin conditions.
  Hemp Seed oil 6.5 Hempseed oil is a very popular, all purpose carrier oil. It is used by manufacturers (particularly as a conditioning agent in hair care products), aromatherapists, and massage therapists. Hempseed oil is high in Omega fatty acids and proteins.
  Camellia Seed Oil 16 Very light feeling oil. Organically certified.
  Shea Oil 9.5 Soothing oil with a large unsaponifiable fraction which helps with soothing the skin.
  Beeswax 0 Thickener, structure element and to give the balm a bit of a shine finish.
  Oil Thickener 8 Thickener.
Phase 2 Tapioca Starch 20 Tapioca Starch is a rich starch derived from the tuberous of the cassava plant. It is an effective thickening agent.
  Bicarbonate of Soda 28 This is the anti-bacterial active. It is also highly alkaline so it is best to limit how much is present to avoid irritation.
Phase 3 Vanilla CO2 Oil in Jojoba 1.5 Aroma.

  • Suitable for roll-on application.

1. MIX UNTIL THE GEL HAS DISSOLVED.
B 2.5 LICHEN EXTRACT 25
  5 WITCH HAZEL EXTRACT 50
2. MIX UNTIL DISSOLVED.
C 15 ETHANOL 95PGF4 150
3. SLOWLY ADD THE ETHANOL AND MIX UNTIL DISSOLVED.
D 5 PEG-7 GLYCERYL COCOATE 50
  0.1 NATURAL VITAMIN E 1
  0.5 ESSENTIAL OILS (AS REQUIRED) 5
4. PREMIX PHASE D INGREDIENTS.
5. SLOWLY ADD THE MIX WHILE STIRRING AND MIX UNTIL DISSOLVED.
E   LACTIC ACID 0
    TRIETHANOLAMINE 0
6. ADJUST pH TO DESIRED LEVEL. (APPROX 7.0 TO 7.5)
7. COOL TO ROOM TEMPERATURE
F   DEIONISED WATER 0
8. ADJUST VOLUME/WEIGHT TO COMPENSATE FOR WATER LOSS DURING MANUFACTURE

Lavender and Rosewood Deodorant Recipe

 

Application:

  • Can be used anytime.

Ingredients:

  • 80ml purified water
  • 30ml apple cider vinegar
  • 10ml benzoin tincture
  • 5ml myrrh tincture
  • 25 drops lavender essential oil
  • 20 drops rosewood essential oil
  • 15 drops ylang ylang essential oil

Instructions:

  • Mix all ingredients thoroughly into a spray bottle.
  • Shake before use.

Caution:

  • Do not use lavender oil during pregnancy.

Geranium and Bergamot Deodorant Recipe

 

Application:

  • Can be used anytime.

Ingredients:

  • 80ml purified water
  • 30ml apple cider vinegar
  • 10ml benzoin tincture
  • 5ml myrrh tincture
  • 30 drops bergamot essential oil
  • 10 drops cypress essential oil
  • 20 drops geranium essential oil

Instructions:

  • Mix all ingredients thoroughly into a spray bottle
  • Shake before use

Caution:

  • Do not use bergamot before exposure to the sun.
  • Do not use myrrh during pregnancy.
  • Avoid geranium oil during pregnancy.
  • Avoid cypress oil during pregnancy.

Deodorizing Spray Recipe

 

Application:

  • Refreshing household spray which instantly deodorizes specific areas and restores a refreshing fragrance.

Ingredients:

  • 6 drops Bergamot essential oil
  • 1 drop Eucalyptus essential oil
  • 2 drops Lemon or Lemongrass essential oil

Instructions:

  • Add 8 to 10 drops of Essential Oil to a cup of water in a spray mist bottle. Shake well and spray fragrance in the air or in a specific area such as a bathroom or pet area.
