Coconut Oil is one of the most commonly used oils for both soap and cosmetic manufacturing. It is a highly stable base oil and is often supplied as a solid thanks to its highly saturated structure and melting point of around 26C. The oil contains a range of skin-friendly fatty acids and is prized for its light feel and gentle antimicrobial nature.
Extraction method: Cold Pressed
Common uses: Our Coconut oil is cold pressed from the flesh of the coconut (Copra). It undergoes a post pressing treatment to help filter and remove any solid material that may have ended up in the finished product. Our Coconut oil is refined, bleached and deodorised (RBD).
Consistency: Solid at room temperature. Gentle heating is required.
Absorption: Coconut oil is reasonably light and fast absorbing.
